Forth Valley Fabrications have recently completed the construction and installation of what is believed to be one of the country's largest pieces of street art at the BBC's new Scottish HQ in Glasgow.
The steel structure designed by Glasgow artist Toby Paterson stands 10 metres high and almost 20 metres long and is the most expensive pieces of public art ever erected in Glasgow.
With the superstructure made from steel at Forth Valley Fabrication's facility in Grangemouth, the design reflects the manufacturing history of Scotland and in particular on the Clyde. The 25 different coloured shapes are based on portions of the Ordinance Survey map of Scotland and are intended to represent the varied topography of the country.

Zone architects, the firm behind the design of Edinburgh's largest single mews development in Dublin Street Lane, have again chosen FVF Ltd to produce the architectural steelwork for another landmark development on Edinburgh's Inverleith Terrace Lane. Zones' David Jameson says "the marriage of glass and steel in contemporary building design has to be precise and manufactured within very close tolerances; this is something FVF Ltd understand really well and are very good at. The central steel staircase at Dublin Street Lane was craned into position through a specially designed cupola and complemented by a toughened glass balustrade on the exposed sides. Zones latest design will be a first on Inverleith Terrace Lane.
